My African gown

As you may remember, I've mentioned an African gown in my post "Back from Africa".
Well, here it is!
You know I hate to be photographed. This pic was taken by my elder boy Filipe.
We were at my MIL for a big family lunch.
This was the after match!I look like s*****, cause I haven't been resting just as much as I was supposed to...
My mom took some pics as well,so next time she's here I'll transfer them to my computer so I can share with you.
Just don't expect too much!It won't get any better!LOL!

Am I too demanding?

Sometimes I wonder if I'm too demanding when it comes to my family and friends.
I get often criticized, specially by my mom, 'cause I wanted other people to be more like me...
There are 2 values that I consider extremely important in my life : Family and Friendship.
Because of this I'm getting more and more disappointed every single day...
I give my self heart and soul to the ones I really care
about. And a I love to see a smile on a friends face. I know I'm a good listener, but I know I'm a great talker too! I'm always there when they need me, but unfortunately they aren't always there for me (except one dear friend).
When a dear person of mine is going through some rough times, I'm the first to reach my hand...Am I being too demanding if I expect a "thank u" instead of being ignored?
What about the "friends" that at the minute I get online, instantanly disappear?? In this last year I've noticed that I was the only one who was always checking on them...So I decided that that was it! I had enough with this situation!...
This was the reason why I've stopped posting in
Portuguese. It wasn't worth it!
I have to say that I feel much better since I started blogging around in foreign
blogs. I've made a nice handful of new friends now.
My mom says: "But u don't really know them! They can be the opposite of what u think they are!"
Well, I know some people since ever and lately I've been finding out that after all, I don't really know them!
I'm glad to vent out and see some feedback.
I'm glad to get to know wonderful people like
Toni, Tammy, Tina, Angeline, Shireen, Petula and most recently Kellan...
I'm glad to be able to share my life experiences and get to learn from others as well...
I'm glad to know that I'm not alone and all around the world there are women dealing with the same issues than I...
Am I too demanding if I expect my family and friends to remember me and my kids?...
I don't really know...
Maybe I am...

My BBF Tina tagged a couple of days ago with this Tribute Meme, which I find lovely and profound.
My parents are everything to me...
I have to say that I always was daddy's girl.He used to take me everywhere and he was always so proud of me...
They got separated when I was16/17, 'cause life wasn't easy on them...Neither on me I have to say...
My dad came for my wedding (he moved to Mozambique after the separation) and what was supposed to be just a family reunion, turned out to be a wedding set for over 100 people...
When I told him I was expecting a baby boy (Filipe, my first son) he was thrilled. After all it was his first grandson...So when Filipe was born, he traveled up here once again to be with his grandson for 1 entire month!...
The day Filipe was turning one year old I got this phone call from Mozambique.I thought it was the proud grandpa wishing a Happy Birthday to the little one...Turned out to be someone with sad news...My dad died that same day on the way to the hospital.Malaria that's what they said it was...He was only 49 years old...
And I miss him dearly...
My mom (she's a sweetie!) lives in a near by small village.I talk to her every single day.I'm always calling her and checking how's she!
She loves to spoil her grandchildren.
So here's some pics.

Me and Dad (way long ago!...)

I found it so funny that I decided to share this with you.

Do you think it looks good on me?!

This morning me and my hubby took the kids out to the city so we could buy them some Summer shoes, such as sandals and flip-flops or so...
While at the shoe store,Eric kept running around 'cause he was thrilled with that amount of shelves and shoes and soccer balls...
When he got tired of running around and picking a different ball every 5 minutes, daddy told him:"now why don't you pick a pretty shoes for mommy?"...
He took that task pretty seriously!LOL!
I took this pic when he asked me:"I think it fits me mommy!

Babysitting my nephews!...

Today I got to babysit my SIL kids.Every now and then they like to come over to play with their cousins which I don't mind at all.
They played, ran around, screamed at each other, tore my house apart (LOL) but had a great time.
The toddlers got to eat their first popsicle ever! And they loved it!
So, as usual, I took some pics of the kids.
Whenever I got my house full of kids, my mom always ask me how do I manage to put up with all the screaming and running around of the kids...Well, I just love children, otherwise I wouldn't have three of my own!...

One of my cousins emailed me these awesome pics yesterday. It always amazes me certain people's abilities!
Hope you girls enjoy these as much as I did!

Well my mom finally phoned today to let me know my sister is out of the hospital. Unfortunaly she's had a fall since she left and has hurt her neck pretty badly in the fainting incident. She's not in any danger, but the doctors have tested for meningitis - they drew some of her spinal fluid for test and she's had a severe reaction to that, therefore she's dizzy and that's how the fall came about. She was diagnosed with severe depression and stress and that's what's been causing the pressure on her brain. Tumers where ruled out as the cat scan was clean, thank goodness.

Thanks SO much for all the prayers and the cards that are in the mail. Once I get them I'll send her a 'get well' package and hopefully she'll be better in no time at all.

Hugs and have a happy stamping Monday.

Baby Stuff--Part I

OK...I know that this will probably look like shock therapy! And most likely, there will be some of you that 1-will never drop by again or 2-will never feel like having more children!LOL!So I'm posting a whole bunch of baby stuff pics...
First you'll see these wool baby jackets my mom knitted for Eric.(I know to knit my self, but during this last pregnancy I was feeling kinda lazy!LOL!)
Then you'll see some of Eric's clothes I kept as well...
Then baby shoes...
And do you see that last pic of a baby cloth's bag??Well,I have 3 of that plus a wooden made chest (the one that has the shoes in) with baby stuff.
I know...I know...
Why am I keeping all this?
Well, first I have to say to you that I gave some of Eric's stuff away to my nephews.
And second, I wanna have at least one more child!Ok!Now stop laughing!I'm pretty serious about that!
I'm dying to get pregnant again! My husband isn't that fond of the idea but I always manage to talk him in!
We'll just have to wait that Eric grows a little bit more, once he's a very demanding and time consuming child. So I can head all my attention towards him now, and later (a couple of years more) I can channelize my attention to another baby!LOL!

Cute Little Thing!

Can you believe that this little cute boy with a cute angel face literally walks all over us (mom and dad and elder brothers as well)????
Yep!That's right!
He sure does that!
It has always to be his way or the highway!
When asked about his name he answers:"Eric Gabriel", when asked about daddy's name he answers :"Dad Edgar" and when asked about mommy's name he goes:"Lovely beautiful mommy"!!!How cute is that!?
Plus, picture this:
He's 2 and 1/2 years old and he knows his way around a computer! No matter if it's a desktop with a mouse or a laptop with a touch pad!
Crazy world we are living in!
